MAIN CONCERTS, DANCE PERFORMANCES AND EVENTS IN THE ACADEMIC YEAR 2019/2020

ISMFA organises more than 40 concerts, dance performances, contests and workshops throughout the academic year. Amongst them there are a traditional Opening Advent Concert in the prestigious Kaiserstein palace, Christmas concerts for the youngest ones, many family concerts in beautiful halls of Prague, jazz and rock concerts in renowned clubs and, last but not least, wonderful classic as well as modern dance performances in interesting dance venues. During these public concerts all participants have an opportunity to meet European artists, who traditionally perform as guests. Our students also have an opportunity to regularly perform with renowned Czech artists within join projects. Please see the list of the main events below.

	OPENING CONCERT: ADVENT BENEFICIAL CONCERT IN KAISERSTEIN PALACE Sunday, 8/12 2019, 11.00 a.m., Kaiserstein Palace, Malostranské náměstí 37/23, Praha 1 – Malá Strana The opening festive concert will take place in a beautiful baroque palace in Lesser Town Square. The concert will also mark a continuation in a cooperation between ISMFA and the ARTEVIDE Foundation that supports blind children in the field of music and art. 	CHRISTMAS CONCERT IN ST.LAWRENCE CHURCH Saturday, 14/12 2019, 3 p.m., Hellichova 11, Praha 1 The concert will take place in the very centre of Prague in the wonderful St.Vavřinec roman church. In this venue, children and students have an opportunity to play the piano that feature amongst the best concert grand pianos in Prague – Steinway grand piano. During this concert, classical as well as Christmas compositions will be heard, performed by our students and professional musicians, who accepted an invitation to perform at this concert. more info: This email address is being protected from spambots. 	JAZZ-ROCK FAMILY CONCERTS Sunday, 26/1/2020, Studio Paměť, Soukenická 29, Praha 1 1st concert: 11.15 a.m. – 12.15 p.m. 2nd concert: 3.00p.m. – 4.00 p.m. In these concerts children and students have a chance to perform their jazz/rock repertoire accompanied by a professional band, which usually provides an excellent experience as well as a huge motivation for everyone. Concerts are suitable for students of all age categories and levels (advanced as well as beginners). 	SPRING CONCERT- CANCELLED (Prevention measures: COVID-19) Friday 22/5 2020, 6.30 p.m., Atrium Žižkov, Čajkovského 12, Praha 3 The Spring Concert will take place in an originally renovated baroque church in the centre of Prague. This venue features a concert grand piano as well as a modern organ. Concert takes place on a big stage with all lights end effects that belong to such a music performance. 	GRADUATION CONCERTS - CANCELLED (Prevention measures: COVID-19) Sunday, 7/6 2020, Chodovská tvrz, Ledvinova 9/86, Praha 4 1st concert: 11.30 – 12.30 a.m. 2nd concert: 2.15 – 3.00 p.m. 3rd concert: 4.30 – 5.15 p.m. Chodovská tvrz (The Chodov stronghold) is an important historical monument. This gracious round mansion in a roman style, located in a beautiful green park, has its specific atmosphere.
