MgA. Jana Vonášková


Jana is a graduate of the Academy of Performing Arts in Prague and the Royal College of Music in London. In 2000 she won the Talent of the Year competition and she also became an absolute winner of the H.Wieniawski and K.Lipiňski International Competition for young violinists (Lublin, Poland). One year later she was awarded a European Prize for music in Strasburg. In 2002 she won the Young Concert Artists Trust Competition in London and was chosen by the agency of the same name for their representation. In 2003 Jana became a laureate of the Juventus festival (Cambrai, France). Between 2003-2012 she was a member of the Smetana Trio. Jana has recorded for Czech Radio and Czech Television, BBC Radio 3, Radio Classique France, NHK TV Japan. She has produced several CDs of chamber music and solo violin. Since 2014 she has been a member of Trio Bergerettes. She has also been an enthusiastic teacher – she works with students at the beginning of their musical journey as well as advanced students, who are preparing for their studies at universities of music. She is also a specialist in the Suzuki violin teaching method. She has worked with ISMFA since 2010.
